When
The client asks "how much does Ljubljana–Paris cost on Air France?" before any booking, or you want to see which fares (and booking classes) an airline files on a route.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | FQDLJUPAR/AAF | Fares Ljubljana–Paris on Air France (plus common fares). | The published fares for today's sale. |
| 2 | FQDLJUPAR/21JUN/AAF | Fares valid for travel on 21 Jun. | Seasonality: the fare must fit the travel date. |
| 3 | FQDLJUPAR/21JUN/AAF/KY | Economy cabin only (KC business, KF first). | Narrow the list. |
| 4 | FQN3 | Rules of the fare on line 3. | Before promising any fare. |
| 5 | FQS3 | Booking classes the fare on line 3 can be booked in. | The class to sell. |
| 6 | FQK3 | Tax breakdown for the fare on line 3. | Taxes on top of the fare. |
| 7 | MPFQD | Back to the previous fare display. | After reading rules. |
How to read it
Each line is one fare: its fare basis code (the fare's name, e.g. YLOWSI), the airline, the
amount (one-way or round trip), the booking class, and short restrictions (advance purchase, minimum
/ maximum stay). Rules decide whether the client can use it — always read FQN.

The header shows the city pair, dates and currency; lines are ordered by the display's default (use
/IX for lowest first, see FQD options — airline, dates, cabin, one-way or return, sorting, currency).
Traps
- A fare display is not a price for the booking. It ignores seat availability, the exact flights
and combinations. The real price comes from pricing the PNR (
FXX/FXP). - Taxes and airline fees may not be included in the fare line — check
FQK. - Fare families have their own display option (
/FF), see Fare families — display, price on a family, compare.
