When
The airline sells the same seat as Light / Classic / Flex (or similar) with different baggage, seat choice and change rules, and the client wants to compare or choose one.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |

| 2 | FQFHELNCE/A6X/VALUE | Description of a family (what is included). | Bags, seat, changes. |
| 3 | FQF2 · FQF1-2 | Description of the family of the fare on line 2 (after FQD or pricing) · for component 2. | Explain it to the client. |
| 4 | FXP/FF-BASIC | Prices the whole itinerary on the BASIC family and stores a TST. | Needs names in the PNR. |
| 5 | FXP/FF2-BASIC/FF3-VALUE | Different families per segment. | Mixed choice. |
| 6 | FXB/FF-BASIC | Rebooks to the cheapest fare in that family and stores a TST. | When the class booked is not the family's. |
Graphic: after pricing, the Available fares section shows the family name, whether it is refundable / exchangeable, meal, bags and seat; Compare all opens a comparison matrix (up to six fares) that can be exported to send to the client.
Check it worked
The TST (TQT) shows the fare basis of the chosen family; the itinerary pricing shows its name.
Traps
- The family name is not the booking class. Families usually map to classes; pricing on a family
may need a different class —
FXB/FF-…rebooks for you. FXPneeds passenger names; without names use the fare display and descriptions (FQD…/FF,FQF) to compare.
