RateHawk hotels in Claude and ChatGPT

Yes. GateRoam connects Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot to RateHawk on your agency's own ETG API keys: the AI searches RateHawk hotels, checks the rate before you quote, puts the hotel in the same client offer as your flights and books it after your yes. There is no official RateHawk MCP server; GateRoam is an independent one.

What RateHawk is

RateHawk is the B2B hotel booking platform of Emerging Travel Group (ETG) for travel agencies and tour operators. Agents book on ratehawk.com, and agencies that want their own software use the ETG API (version 3): a B2B API for agencies with a RateHawk contract, a Content API for hotel descriptions and photos, plus sandbox and test environments for building the integration.

What your AI does with RateHawk

In Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot, and the same in the GateRoam app. Each is an MCP tool, and your admins choose who gets which.
  • Search hotels
Ask in plain words — a city, an area, a hotel, near an airport or a map pin, the dates or the flight you just chose, the rooms and each child's age — and the AI searches your hotel suppliers on your agency's own contract at once, one list with the same hotel once, and shows GateRoam's picks: cheapest, best value, closest, free cancellation, with breakfast.
  • Every room, and the rate checked before you quote
The AI asks the supplier for every room of the hotel you pick, then checks the exact rate again before it goes to a client: the price, whether it changed, the cancellation and the supplier's notes.
  • Taxes and cancellation in plain words
Taxes paid at the hotel are kept apart from the price, the free-cancellation deadline is shown in your agency's time zone, and non-refundable rates are said clearly. Every figure comes from the supplier, worked out in code, never by the model.
  • Hotel and flights in one offer, priced apart
The hotel goes into the same branded client offer as your Amadeus or Travelport+ flights — photo, room, meal, cancellation and the hotel's own notes — each with its own price and your fee: one web page, copy-paste text and a PDF.
  • Book after your yes
Book a checked rate from the GateRoam app, or from the chat after the AI has shown you the exact summary and you said yes. It is booked on your agency's own supplier account. Booking is off until an admin switches it on.
  • Your controls
Admins choose who may search, check and book hotels, and the supplier keys stay encrypted on GateRoam's servers, as for flights.

What your agency needs

Your agency's own RateHawk contract. GateRoam sells no rooms and takes no margin.
  • A RateHawk contract with API access
ETG asks for a signed agreement before the API can be used. Your RateHawk account manager arranges API access for your agency; you add the key ID and key under Settings → Suppliers.
  • Production keys after ETG's certification
ETG gives production keys once the integration has passed its certification (its docs: about 14 to 30 days). Until then, ETG's sandbox keys (saved as Test) work in GateRoam, marked as test data; an ETG test key is saved as Production and books only ETG's test hotel. Ask your account manager about access through GateRoam.
  • GateRoam's addresses on ETG's list
ETG only accepts API calls from IP addresses on its list. Settings → Suppliers in GateRoam shows the server addresses to give ETG with your keys, also before the keys are saved.
  • Your hotel list, switched on by GateRoam
RateHawk hotel names, addresses and photos come from ETG's hotel list, loaded once for your agency with your own keys. Write to us after your keys work and we switch it on; you pick the countries to load.

How the RateHawk connector works

  • The guests' passport country goes into every search: ETG calls it residency, and RateHawk prices can differ by it. The AI asks for it instead of guessing.
  • Taxes RateHawk marks as not included (city tax and the like) are not part of the price. They are shown on their own, as paid at the hotel.
  • A search answer carries rates and hotel IDs only; the names and photos come from your agency's own copy of ETG's hotel list, kept fresh daily and never shared with another agency.
  • A booking is paid from your agency's RateHawk deposit, after a fresh rate check, and the hotel's rules and fees that ETG requires are printed in every offer.
  • One stay is at most 30 nights, with up to 6 adults and 4 children a room (17 and under count as children), and check-in no more than 730 days ahead.

Flights and the hotel in one offer

GateRoam also searches and prices flights on your agency's own Amadeus or Travelport+ (Galileo) contract. Find a hotel for the flight the client chose — the dates and the city come from it — and send one branded offer with the flights and the RateHawk hotel, each with its own price.
