When
A passenger's discount must be stored in the PNR as an element (so it travels with the booking to pricing and ticketing) — e.g. an agent discount, a youth code or an infant's date of birth.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | FD AD50/P1 | Agent discount code for passenger 1. | Industry discount (only if eligible). |
| 2 | FD ZZ/P2 | Youth discount for passenger 2. | |
| 3 | FD MIL/P1 | Passenger type code. | |
| 4 | FD IN02MAR25/P3 | Infant with date of birth. | |
| 5 | TMI/M1/FD-ZZ | Discount on a TSM-P (EMD pricing record). | Services priced with the discount. |

Traps
- An FD element does not price by itself — price with the matching option (
FXP/P2/RZZ) and check the TST. - Agent and industry discounts have strict eligibility rules set by the airline.
