When
The client gives a loyalty card number (Miles & More, Flying Blue…) so the flight earns miles or status benefits.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | FFN LH-992001234567890/P1 | Adds the frequent flyer SSR (FQTV) for passenger 1. | Miles are credited to that card. |
| 2 | VFFD LH | Shows which airlines' cards can be used on Lufthansa. | Partner programmes (alliances). |
| 3 | FFD LH-992001234567890 | Shows the name on that card in the airline's database. | Check the card belongs to the passenger. |
| 4 | FFA AF-12345678 | Creates the name and the SSR from the airline's database. | Build the name from the card. |
| 5 | 5/S3-4 | Associates the FQTV on line 5 to segments 3-4 only. | When only some flights qualify. |
Check it worked
RTG shows the SSR FQTV with the airline and number for the right passenger.
Traps
- The card name must match the passenger name, or the airline may not credit the miles.
- A frequent flyer number does not change the fare; it may add benefits (baggage, lounges) the airline applies at check-in.
- Redeeming miles or upgrades (
FFR,FFU) follow the airline's own rules — rare in agency work. - A PNR can be retrieved by frequent flyer number:
