When
The client's priority is price, not a specific flight: you want Amadeus to search flights and fares together and give priced recommendations (the cryptic cousin of the graphic All Fares search).
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | FXDLJU/D15JUNCDG/D22JUNLJU | Priced recommendations for the dates, grouped by price. | Cheapest combinations first. |
| 2 | FXD2LJU/D15JUNCDG | For 2 seats. | Party size. |
| 3 | FXDJFK/D15JUN/TD0900MIA · /TA1100 | Departure · arrival time. | Client's time window. |
| 4 | FXDJFK/D15JUNMIA/D25JUNJFK//ADL | One airline for the itinerary. | Loyalty or preference. |
| 5 | FXDJFK/D15JUNMIA//KC · //FN | Business only · non-stop only. | Cabin and flight type. |
| 6 | FXDJFK/D15JUNMIA//R,*NPE | Fares without penalty. | Flexible fares. |
| 7 | FXS2 · MPFXD | Shows group 2 · the list of groups again. | Browse recommendations. |
| 8 | FXU1 · FXZ1 | Books recommendation 1 with TST (needs names) · without TST. | Take it. |
On an existing PNR: FXD//KF (override the cabin), FXD/S3-5 (price chosen segments), FXD//X
(keep the PNR's connection points).
Check it worked
The recommendations show flights, classes and total price; after FXU/FXZ, the flights are in
the PNR.
Traps
- Recommendations are built from available seats at search time; book promptly.
- The cheapest recommendation often has the longest connections — check times and the MCT.
