How do I issue and pay an NDC booking in Amadeus?

In the booking file select the NDC flight and click Issue and pay, with the card used for the fee calculation. Seats and services come from the NDC seat map and catalogue; Send E-ticket sends the receipt after issue.

When

An NDC booking needs seats or services, a new form of payment, or issuing.

Steps

  • Seats and services: through the NDC seat map and NDC services catalogue; free service = Request, chargeable = Book and pay; possible before or after issue; not after the airline fee was calculated.
  • Change the form of payment: Products → the NDC booking → Add NDC form of payment → delete old, add new → if a card needs OB fees: Save and reprice → Preview → Confirm and create TST.
  • Issue and pay: Products → the flight → Issue and pay → form of payment (use the card used for the OB fee calculation; cardholder name, address, email as the airline requires) → Issue and pay. Tickets and EMDs appear in the booking file.
  • E-ticket receipt: after issue or exchange only → Products → Send E-ticket.

Traps

  • Payment is made directly in the NDC flow; how it reaches your agency's BSP statement depends on the airline and form of payment — check with accounting before the first NDC issue.
