When
The price includes a fee the airline charges for issuing a ticket or for the form of payment (an "OB fee", e.g. a credit card fee), or a fee appears after you change the form of payment.
What it is
OB fees are airline charges added at pricing — they show up in fare displays, pricing, ticket images and the TST. Whether they apply depends on the airline and the market: check with the airline.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | FXP/R,FC301234*200 | Prices with the card BIN and amount, so the right card fee is calculated. | Card fees depend on the card. |
| 2 | FXP/R,FA | Adds all automated OB fees. | |
| 3 | FXP/R,FX | Exempts all OB fees (manual and automated). | Only when the fee does not apply. |
| 4 | FXP/R,FX-OBT01 | Exempts one specific fee. | |
| 5 | TTX · TTX/T1 | Recalculates OB fees for all TSTs · TST 1. | After changing the form of payment. |
| 6 | TQO/T1 · TQC/T1 | OB fees stored in TST 1 · the pricing context behind it. | See what was charged and why. |
| 7 | TTO/ST02//F50.00/T1 · TTO/ST04/T1 | Changes · deletes an OB fee line in TST 1. | Correct a fee by hand, only when the airline says so. |

Traps
- Exempting a fee the airline charges can come back as a debit memo — exempt only when the airline's rules say it does not apply.
- Change the form of payment → recalculate (
TTX) before issuing.
