When
Before issuing — every ticket and EMD needs a form of payment. It also decides who pays the airline: the agency through BSP, or the client's card directly.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | FPCASH | Cash (agency) form of payment. | The agency settles the amount through BSP. |
| 2 | FPCCCA5499830000000015/1211 | Credit card (type, number, expiry). | The card is charged for the ticket. |
| 3 | FPCCCA…/1211/EUR250.00/N | Card with amount and manual approval code. | When approval is obtained by phone. |
| 4 | FPCASH+CCCA…/1211/EUR550.00 | Two forms of payment. | Split payment. |
| 5 | FPCASH/P1 · FPCASH/T1 · FPINFCASH · FPPAXCASH | For passenger 1 · TST 1 · infants · non-infants. | Different payers. |
| 6 | FPO/CASH+/CASH | Old and new form of payment. | Exchanges (see Manual exchange with an additional collection (re-pricing method)). |
| 7 | TTX | Recalculates airline OB fees after an FP change. | Card fees depend on the card. |

Traps
- Which form of payment your agency uses on its IATA (BSP) stock, and when a client's card may be used, is agency policy — ask your senior agent. Do not improvise.
- A client's card as FP means the airline charges the client; a cash FP means your agency pays BSP and the amount appears on its BSP statement.
- Never store card numbers in remarks; only in the FP element.
