Is there an Amadeus MCP server? What it can and can't do
Amadeus has no generally available MCP server of its own. What exists in October 2026, and what an Amadeus MCP server like GateRoam can and can't do.
| Open-source servers | GateRoam | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it is for | Developers trying the Amadeus APIs from Claude Desktop on their own computer (source) | Travel agencies whose agents quote flights and hotels for their clients |
| Whose content and contract | Amadeus for Developers keys: "Sign up on developers.amadeus.com and create an app" (source) | Your agency's own contract: Amadeus Enterprise or Quick Connect (classic and NDC fares), or Travelport+ (Galileo) through Travelport TripServices; for hotels, RateHawk (ETG API) or GoGlobal (XML API) |
| Who pays | Free and open source; you run and maintain it yourself (source) | Free during early access. Fares and rooms are on your own supplier contracts |
| Can it book | No: mcp-amadeus calls the Flight Offers Search API only, with one tool (source) | It holds flight bookings in Amadeus or Travelport+ and books hotel rooms on your RateHawk or GoGlobal account, after the agent's yes, and never issues tickets. An admin switches each on, and every booking is listed under the colleague who made it |
| Which AI assistants | Claude Desktop and other MCP clients, run locally (source) | Claude, ChatGPT and any MCP client; Microsoft 365 Copilot through Copilot Studio |
| Works after the Self-Service shutdown | No: Self-Service keys stopped working on 17 July 2026. mcp-amadeus was last updated in May 2025, amadeus-mcp-server-standalone in March 2025 (source) | Yes: built for Enterprise and Quick Connect keys |
