When
The order of flights surprises you — a connection above a later nonstop — or you want one display ordered by departure, journey time or arrival.
How the two modes order flights
- Basic (the standard): nonstops by departure time, then direct flights by journey time, then connections by journey time.
- Direct: seven groups — nonstop, direct, online single connections, interline single connections, online double, interline double, triple. Nonstops are ranked by how close they leave to the time you asked for; the other groups by that gap plus the journey time, lowest first. Triple connections appear only when no single or double one exists.
