How do I price a trip that is not booked in Galileo?

When

The client wants a price for a specific routing and airline before anything is booked — "what would LJU–AMS–LJU on KLM cost?" The planner prices an unbooked itinerary for information only; nothing goes into a booking file.

Check first

Know the cities, dates and airline; add classes if you want a specific one.
Use airport codes, not city codes, or the airport taxes are left out.

Check it worked

The answer lists numbered fares with their amounts. Follow-up entries use those numbers.

Traps

Informative only. The trip is not booked, so nothing is held or filed. When the client says yes, book the flights and price the booking file with FQ (see Price the booking file (FQ) — the fare that gets stored).
Before you promise a planner price, check in an availability display that the class is open.
A planner price with a past ticketing date (.T with a date at the end) is historical and not guaranteed (see Historical fare quote — the price on an earlier ticketing date).
For "find me the cheapest flights", fare shopping is the better tool (Fare shopping (FS) — cheapest flights and fares, nothing booked yet); the planner answers "what does this exact routing cost".
