When
A colleague in another office (or the airline) sees different flights, classes or seat counts than you do for the same search.
What causes the difference
- Availability management: an airline can suppress classes, show a lower seat count than its inventory (AVS-driven rules), or poll its own system live for chosen users and markets. So a class can exist for one office and not for yours.
- Carrier-preferred display: with the airline code after
AN, you see the flights the airline chose to show, in its order, including its partners and routings a neutral display leaves out. Airline offices see this by default. - Neutral display:
ANwithout an airline code — Amadeus's own ranking (** AMADEUS AVAILABILITY - AN **).
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | AN15DECLONNCE | Neutral display. | The default comparison basis. |
| 2 | ANBA15DECLONNCE | British Airways' carrier-preferred display. | See the airline's own selection. |
| 3 | AN*A15APRAMSBKK | Star Alliance display. | Alliance routings. |
| 4 | AC1A/ | Back to the Amadeus (neutral) display. | |
| 5 | GG PCA BA | Whether the airline supports carrier-preferred displays and dynamic availability. | Explain what you see. |
Traps
- "NOT SUPPORTED": the airline has no carrier-preferred display; "USE DIRECT ACCESS 1YY": it supports Direct Access instead.
- A
/before the departure airport means seats were checked live (last-seat or polling) — see the airline'sGG PCApage for which.
