When
Before selling a service on EMD: does the airline distribute EMDs in your market, which services, and with which rules?
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | EGVD/CSI | Airlines distributing EMDs in a country (SI = Slovenia; use your own country code). | Can your agency sell EMDs for this airline at all? |
| 2 | EGVD/V6X | The airline's EMD services list (and countries). | Codes, RFIC/RFISC, booking method. |
| 3 | EGVD/V6X/RFIC-C · /BM-SSR · /SC-PENF | Filter by RFIC · booking method · service code. | Find one service. |
| 4 | EGVD/L3 | Details of service 3: refundable, exchangeable, consumed at issuance, interlineable, issuable by travel agents, what is mandatory. | The rules. |
| 5 | EGXD/V6X/FR-RFICB | Exchange rules from an EMD with RFIC B. | Before an EMD exchange. |
| 6 | TOQD/VCBA | EMD and ticket quota of an airline (market-specific). | Some markets limit how many documents an agency may issue. |
Older offices may use the earlier forms EGSD/Vxx, EGSD/L3, EGCD/Vxx; the current
form is EGVD — if one is refused, use the other.
Traps
- "ISSUABLE BY TRAVEL AGENT: NO" means only the airline can issue it — the client pays at the airport or the airline's office.
- The quota display is from the Hong Kong market; check whether your BSP uses quotas.
