When
Your agency books a group (usually 10+ passengers) on one flight under one group name, often before all names are known — typical for tours and GIT groups.
Check first
Group space and group fares are agreed with the airline (group desk). The airline tells you the
class, the fare and the name deadline. Many airlines handle groups by request — read GG AIR <code>.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | NG 25 RIVIERA TOURS | Group name for 25 passengers. | The group exists before the names. |
| 2 | SS BA343 L 11JUN NCELHR SG20 · SS 12 D 1/SG | Group sell (long / from availability). | SG = group status, sent to the airline's group desk. |
| 3 | SR GRPF YY-GV10 | Group fare element. | The agreed group fare code. |
| 4 | NM1… (later) | Adds individual names as they come. | Names can follow the group name. |
| 5 | RTW · RTN | Shows the group with all individual names. | Check names against the deadline. |
| 6 | NT · NT SR,AZ | Sends the individual names to all / to chosen airlines. | The airline needs the names before ticketing. |
| 7 | XE 0.5 | Cancels 5 unassigned places and reduces the group. | Group gets smaller. |
| 8 | SP 0.10 | Splits 10 unassigned places into a new PNR. | Part of the group travels differently. |

Check it worked
RTW shows the group name, the confirmed group segments and every name entered; the SSR for the
full party size (SR GRPS) is added automatically when needed.
Traps
- Name deadlines: missing names by the airline's date can cost the space.
- Reducing a group may carry penalties under the group contract.
- Groups are ticketed per passenger; mixed passenger types need care (IT / BT tickets and PNRs with several passenger types).
