When
You work in the graphic booking file and want to price the flights, compare fares and create the TST without typing entries.
The pricing modes
| Mode | Cryptic | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Price - No TST | FXX | Price in the booked classes, nothing stored. |
| Lower Fares - No TST | FXA | Cheaper available fares, with a rebook option. |
| Lowest Possible Fare - No TST | FXA/LO | Lowest per passenger type, even if not available. |
| Price - With TST | FXP | Price as booked; one fare → TST created. Needs passengers. |
| Book Lowest Fare - With TST | FXB | Rebook to the lowest available fare and create the TST. Needs passengers. |
| Book Lowest Fare - Without TST | FXR | Rebook to the lowest available fare, no TST. |
Steps
- In the booking file, open itinerary pricing; select the passengers (if any) and segments.
- Set advanced options if needed: fare type, taxes, surcharges, fees, baggage included.
- Choose the pricing mode and click Price.
- Select a fare to see its ticket image; look at upgrade offers next to the fare family.
- Rebook if required, then Confirm and create TST.
Check it worked
The Stored fares (TST & TSM) section shows the new TST; View TST in the Price tab shows the last date to ticket.
Traps
- Without passengers in the booking file you can price (if the office allows it) but cannot store a TST.
- Upgrades need all passengers in the same fare family.
