When
You must know what a fare cost when the ticket was issued — typically for a manual exchange or refund, or when a client disputes a price.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | FXX/R,10MAY26 | Prices the unused itinerary as booked, as if issued on 10 May 2026. | The fare of the original sale (information, no TST). |
| 2 | FQDLHRSIN/10SEP/ABA/R,01MAY26 | Fare display with a past date of issue. | The fares filed then. |
| 3 | FQPLHR/D20FEB/ABA/CYCDG/R,01FEB26 | Informative pricing with a past ticketing date. | Routing without a PNR. |
| 4 | FQQ1 · FQN1 | Details · rules of the line. | |
| 5 | FR · FR/COMMENT | Creates a historical fare record after pricing (market-specific). | Keeps the price quoted in the PNR. |
| 6 | RH FR | Retrieves historical fare records. | See what was quoted. |
Traps
- Past-date pricing goes back up to two years with
FQP; fares may no longer be in the system for older dates. - Results are information only — never a basis to issue without the airline's rules.
- Automated exchanges (ATC) do this for you — use them when possible (Voluntary change and reissue with Amadeus Ticket Changer (FXQ, TTP)).
