When
The standard FXP gives the wrong result for a special itinerary: only part of the trip must be
priced, a fare must break at a certain city, or the airline told you to use a specific fare basis.
Steps
| # | Option | Example | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | /S segments | FXP/S4-6 | Prices segments 4 to 6 only. |
| 2 | /B break | FXP/B4 · FXP/B4/B6 | Fare break at the destination of segment 4 (and 6). |
| 3 | /N no break | FXP/N4 | Prohibits a break there. |
| 4 | /BT- turnaround | FXP/BT-3 | Turnaround at segment 3's destination. |
| 5 | /S4X | FXP/S4X | Transfer (not stopover) at segment 4's destination. |
| 6 | /R,VC- | FXP/R,VC-CO | Validating carrier. Amadeus picks it automatically; override only when told. |
| 7 | /R,FC- | FXP/R,FC-USD | Currency of sale. |
| 8 | /R,.FRA · /R,LON | Ticketing city · point of sale override. | |
| 9 | /L- fare basis | FXP/L-Y2 · FXP/S2-3/L-Y2 | Forces a fare basis (manual pricing). |
| 10 | /A- fare basis | FXX/A-JRT | Forces a fare basis without pricing override. |
| 11 | /R,OCC- | FXP/R,OCC-6X | Overrides the controlling carrier. |

Traps
- Forced and overridden fares are not guaranteed by Amadeus — the airline can debit the agency if the fare does not apply. Use them only with written instructions from the airline.
- Changing the validating carrier changes which airline's rules and BSP agreements apply.
