When
Pricing chose a validating airline you did not expect, TTP refuses because of an interline or
e-ticket agreement, or you mix airlines on one ticket.
What it is
The validating carrier is the airline whose ticket stock (its 3-digit prefix) the ticket is
issued on; it collects the money through BSP and its rules apply. Amadeus selects it automatically
by IATA rules (GG BSP) — override only when told.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | RTF / TQT | Shows the FV element / the TST's validating carrier. | Check what pricing chose. |
| 2 | FVAF · FV AF/S2 | Sets the validating carrier (segment-related with several TSTs). | Manual TSTs or when required. |
| 3 | TGBD-SI · TGBD-SI/LH | BSP (settlement plan) table for a country (SI = Slovenia; use your own) · status of LH in it. | Can this airline be issued in your BSP? |
| 4 | TGAD-LH · TGAD-LH/SQ | Interline agreements of LH · between LH and SQ. | Can LH's ticket carry SQ flights? |
| 5 | TGETD-SI | Airlines that allow e-tickets in that country. | E-ticket eligibility. |
| 6 | HE ETT LH · GG ITA | Airline e-ticket policy · airlines Amadeus checks interlining for. | Details. |
| 7 | TGGSD-SI | General sales agents (GSA) for a country. | Who represents an airline in your market. |
Check it worked
TQT shows the validating carrier; TTP/TKT passes validation.
Traps
- A ticket can only include flights of airlines that interline with the validating carrier — otherwise split into separate tickets.
- The ticket number prefix is the validating carrier's (e.g.
057Air France); your BSP statement lists tickets by that airline code.
