When
A negotiated, inclusive-tour (IT), bulk (BT) or net fare requires a tour code on the ticket — the airline's contract tells you which.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | FTIT5LH1TOUR08 | Tour code in IT format. | IT fares. |
| 2 | FT*LH1234 | Free-format tour code. | As the airline gives it. |
| 3 | FTNR BA1234 | Net remit tour code. | Net remit tickets. |
| 4 | TMI/M1/FT-IT4LH1TOUR05 | Tour code on a TSM-P. | EMDs under a contract. |
Check it worked
RTF shows the FT element; after issue, TWD shows it on the ticket.
Traps
- Missing or wrong tour code on a contract fare is a classic reason for airline debit memos.
- Use the exact code and format from the airline's contract.
