When
You want to try an entry you have not used before — building a PNR, pricing, issuing, voiding — without touching a real booking, a real seat or your agency's IATA stock.
What it is
The Amadeus Training Environment is a copy of the Amadeus system. All cryptic entries work there, but nothing is real: no seat is taken from an airline, no ticket is billed by BSP. It is where every exercise in the onboarding path is done.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | JI + your training sign, e.g. JI 2345XY/GS | Signs you in to the training environment. | Same sign-in entry as live; the sign and access come from your agency's Amadeus administrator. |
| 2 | JD | Shows your terminal, office ID and work areas. | Confirm you are in training before you end (ER) or issue (TTP) anything. |
| 3 | work the exercise | Build, price, issue, void — as in live. | Mistakes cost nothing here. |
| 4 | JO | Signs you out of the work area. | Leaves the session clean. |
Check it worked
JD shows the training office, not your live office ID. If you are not
sure which one you are in, stop and ask before any ER or TTP.
Traps
- Live and training look the same. The only reliable check is the office ID in
JD. - A training sign-in is a separate access. If
JIis refused, ask your agency's Amadeus administrator; offices can have a training instructor role (attribute PTI) who manages this. - Fares, schedules and seats in training are not live data — never quote a training price to a client.
