When
You start or finish your day in the cryptic screen, want a second booking open in another work area, or want to change a personal setting (language, 24-hour clock, kilometres).
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | JI 2345XY/GS | Signs in to the first free work area. 2345XY = your agent sign, GS = duty code. | Everything you do is stamped with your sign (PNR history, sales report). |
| 2 | JI A2345XY/GS · JI*2345XY/GS | Signs in to work area A · to all work areas. | Each work area holds its own open PNR — useful to compare two bookings. |
| 3 | JD | Shows the status of your work areas, terminal and office ID. | Check where you are before you act. |
| 4 | JMB | Moves to work area B. | Switch between two open PNRs without ending either. |
| 5 | JS | Suspends the work area temporarily. | Step away without signing out. |
| 6 | JO · JO* | Signs out of this work area · of all work areas. | End of day; never leave a signed-in terminal. |
| 7 | JGD | Displays your agent preferences. | See your current settings. |
| 8 | JGU/LNG-SP | Updates a preference (here: language). | Examples below. |
| 9 | JGR/ALL | Resets your preferences to the office defaults. | Undo your own changes. |
Useful preferences, set with JGU/<code>-<value>:
TCM-24— 24-hour clock;DIS-K— distances in kilometres;TKD-E— electronic ticket as the default;TST-CorTST-P— TST shown as cryptic or as a panel.
Check it worked
JD shows your sign in the work area you expect; JGD shows the changed value.
Traps
- Your sign is your signature. Never work under a colleague's sign — PNR history, the sales report and BSP reporting follow it.
- The office's local security administrator can lock some preferences; if
JGUis refused, that is why. - An open, unsaved PNR in a work area is lost when you sign out of it — end (
ER) or ignore (IG) first.
