When
Right before TTP — every time. Issuing is the step that costs your agency money on the BSP statement, so
check first.
The checklist
| # | Check | How | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Names exactly as passports, right types | RTN | A wrong name may need a new ticket. |
| 2 | All flights confirmed HK, times and dates right | RTA | No ticket on a waitlist or refused seat. |
| 3 | A current TST per passenger type, not flagged | TQT | TTP issues from the TST. |
| 4 | Fare and rules are what the client accepted | TQT, FQN | Conditions agreed before paying. |
| 5 | Validating carrier (FV) — normally set by pricing | RTF | Which airline's stock/rules. |
| 6 | Form of payment (FP) | RTF | Required; decides how BSP settles it. |
| 7 | Commission (FM) — usually FM0 unless your agency has a deal | RTF | Required element in many markets. |
| 8 | Endorsements (FE), tour code (FT) when the fare needs them | TQT, RTF | Negotiated / IT fares. |
| 9 | APIS / Secure Flight data (SR DOCS) where mandatory | RTG | US and other routes refuse issue without it. |
| 10 | FOID where the airline requires it | RTG | Some airlines. |
| 11 | Contact email (APE) for the receipt | RTJ | Where the ITR goes. |
| 12 | Last date to ticket not passed | TQT | Late issue = price or seats may be lost. |
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | TTP/TKT | Pre-issue validation — checks without issuing. | Catch missing elements safely. |
| 2 | RF + name, TTP/RT | Issues and redisplays the PNR. | See the new ticket lines. |
Traps
- Issue in the live office only when you mean it; practise in training.
- Void is possible only the same day — check before, not after.
