How do I find cheaper flights for a booking in Galileo?

When

A booking already exists and you want to know whether other flights, times or dates on the same route are cheaper — and switch to them. Best buy (Best buy (FQBB) — lowest fare on the booked flights, and rebook) only changes classes on the same flights; fare shopping may change the flights.

Check first

The itinerary is booked and the names are in the booking file.
On a booked itinerary the + before pricing modifiers may be left out; itinerary and availability modifiers always need ++.
In one entry, pricing modifiers come first and availability modifiers after them. Separate several pricing modifiers with /.

Then pick the option you want and rebook through the prompts on screen. The fare of the new itinerary should be stored in the booking file by itself.

Check it worked

*R shows the new flights confirmed and the old ones gone.
*FF shows a filed fare for the new itinerary. If it is missing, price with FQ.

Traps

Shopping can move the client to other flights or dates. Show the client the new times before you rebook.
FSM300 reads the amount in your system currency, not the fare currency.
FSA results are not all bookable now — seats are not checked.
Read the rules of the new fare before you end the booking file (see Read fare rules (fare notes) — from a fare display or a quote).
