How do I add a phone number in Galileo?

Use the P. field with a city, type letter and number: P.LJUT*01 234 5678-MAJA for the agency, P.LJUM*386 41 123456 NOVAK for a mobile. Give airlines the traveller's mobile by SSR: SI.P1/SSRCTCMYYHK1/38641123456.

Use this card to add, change or delete phone numbers in a Galileo booking file, and to give the airline the traveller's own mobile so it can warn them about disruptions.

Check it worked

*P shows each item numbered with its type; *SI shows the CTCM or CTCR line with the airline code or YY.

Traps

  • The airline gets the first agency number (as an OSI when you end). For the traveller's own contact use the CTCM (mobile), CTCE (email) or CTCR (refused) SSR (Manual SSRs — contacts, emergency contact, long loyalty numbers).
  • In the CTCM SSR write the number with country code and digits only.
  • An email in the phone field (P.LJUE*ANA.NOVAK//EXAMPLE.COM) uses // for @. For itinerary emails use the email field instead (Email addresses in the booking file).
  • One item holds up to 90 characters, entry included.
  • P.@ (no number) deletes the only phone item; when there are several, always give the item number.
  • YY sends the SSR to every airline in the file; put a carrier code in its place to send it to one airline.
