When
Use this card to hold a flight for a client in Galileo: sell the seats, add the travellers and contacts, and save the booking file before pricing and ticketing.
Check first
- Names exactly as in the passports, and dates of birth for children and infants.
- The client agreed to the flight and the class. Selling takes a real seat from the airline.

Several fields can be joined in one line with +, for example T.TAU/20OCT+R.P.
In Smartpoint, the booking file script fills names, contacts, ticketing and received in one form; only the flights and the fare are done outside it.
Check it worked
The file shows a six-character record locator and every flight confirmed as HK. Any other code (waitlist HL, unable UC/UN) is not a seat — see Segment status codes (HK, KK, HL, UC, TK, HX …) and what to do.
Traps
- Check the spelling before
ER. After the first save many airlines refuse or limit name changes (NAME CHANGES NOT ALLOWED), and a change they did not allow can make them cancel the seats. - Sell the flights in the order of travel. Most offices have automatic segment ordering switched on; if yours does not, the segments stay in the order you sold them.
- A booking file is not a ticket. Airlines set a last date for ticketing — check Ticketing time limits — the airline's, the fare's and yours.
- If you were only looking, do not end.
Ithrows the unsaved work away (End (E / ER) or ignore (I / IR) — save or discard your work). - A child needs its passenger type and date of birth in the name, an infant its date of birth (Names for adults, children and infants).
