When
Your back-office or accounting system receives bookings and tickets from Amadeus as interface records (AIR), and something did not arrive — or you are the one who looks after that link.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | BB | Status of the queue of records waiting to be sent. | Is it sending at all? |
| 2 | BASTART · BSSTOP | Starts · stops sending. | Stopped sending = nothing arrives. |
| 3 | BD · BD12OCT | Lists interface records · those created on 12 Oct. | Find the record. |
| 4 | BC · BCP | How many records wait to be sent · how many bookings they are for. | The size of the backlog. |
| 5 | BA12OCT | Sends the records of 12 Oct. | Push them out now. |
| 6 | BR12OCT · BR100000014 | Sends again: by date · one record by its sequence number. | The back office lost it. |
| 7 | BV1234567890 · BO1234567890 | Voids a record · brings a voided one back. | A record that must not be booked. |
| 8 | BT · TTP/BTK | Creates a record by hand · an accounting record by hand. | Nothing was created automatically. |
Where records go and what they carry come from the PNR: the FK element and RM* remarks
(FK, keyword and accounting elements).
Check it worked
BD shows the record, and it arrives in the back office.
Traps
- Before you resend, check in the back office that the record is really missing — otherwise it may be booked twice.
- Starting, stopping and voiding affect the whole office: leave them to whoever looks after the link.
