When
The booking file shows a Sales section (sales items, documents, payments), or someone mentions
Amadeus invoices (INV).
What it is
Amadeus can keep sales items for a trip — air (from the TST), EMDs (from the TSM), hotels, cars
and manual bookings — with states (ACT, OFF offer, CAN/RFN cancelled-refunded pairs,
COR/CR2 corrections) and issue invoices from them (INV, INE).
The Sales section appears only when the office uses the Total Travel Record.
At your agency
Most agencies keep invoices, credit notes and purchase records in their own system and match the BSP statement there. If yours does, Amadeus sales items and invoices are not your accounting. Unless your agency decides otherwise:
- do not issue Amadeus invoices to clients;
- do not "correct" sales items to fix a price — the ticket and your own records are what count.
Steps (if you need to look)
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | booking file → Sales | Shows sales items and documents. | Read-only check. |
| 2 | INVD | Displays an invoice without printing. | See what Amadeus would invoice. |
Traps
- Invoiced sales items cannot be edited; changes go through correction or replacement (Replacing invoiced sales items and automatic correction).
