When
The airline changed or cancelled a ticketed flight and the passenger was moved to another flight (or accepts one): the ticket must be reissued on the new flights, normally without cost to the client.
Check first
- The new flights are confirmed in the PNR (after the schedule change was accepted — Handling an airline schedule change (TK, UN segments)).
- The airline's involuntary change policy (
GG AIR <code>). - Coupons open (
TWD).
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | FXI | Involuntary reissue of all remaining coupons (status A, O or U). | Airline-caused change. |
| 2 | FXI/P2 · FXI/S3-4 · FXI/T8 | For passenger 2 · segments 3-4 · ticket line 8. | Part of the booking. |
| 3 | FXI/TKT074-1234567890F1-2/S2-3 | Ticket number, coupons 1-2, onto segments 2-3. | Precise mapping. |
| 4 | RF + name, TTP | Issues the new ticket(s) from the new TSTs. |
Graphic: E-Ticket and EMD → ATC Involuntary → select tickets → ATC Involuntary (FXI) → new TSTs → issue from the booking file.
Check it worked
New ticket numbers in the PNR; old coupons show E.
Traps
- Involuntary reissue is only for airline-caused changes; a client's wish is voluntary (Voluntary change and reissue with Amadeus Ticket Changer (FXQ, TTP)).
- If the airline cancelled without alternative and the client does not travel, an involuntary refund may apply — ask the airline (involuntary refunds are airline-agent entries).
