When
You know exactly what the PNR needs and want to enter it in one line instead of six.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | NM 1NOVAK/ANA MRS;AP LJU 041555123;TK OK;RF NOVAK;SS LH1475Y15MARLJUFRA1;ER | Name, phone, TK, RF, sell and end — in one entry. | ; separates elements. |
| 2 | NM 2KOVAC/MR/MRS 2HORVAT/MR/MRS 1ZUPAN/MR;AP VIE 1555123;TK TL20APR;RF KOVAC | Several surname groups in one name entry, then the other elements. | Families in one go. |
| 3 | NM 2KOVAC/MR/MRS;NM 2HORVAT/MR/MRS;NM 1ZUPAN/MR;… | Repeats the transaction code per name group. | Alternative, easier to read. |
Check it worked
The redisplayed PNR shows every element. If one part fails, Amadeus says which one; the parts
before it may already be in the PNR — redisplay (RT) before retrying.
Traps
- Do not end (
;ER) at the end of a line you have not checked. LeaveERoff, look at the PNR, then end. - A long line is easy to mistype;
RErecalls it for correction (see Moving through a display and recalling entries).
