When
The client wants another date, flight or class before or after ticketing, and you want to keep the rest of the PNR (names, SSRs, remarks).
Check first
- Is the PNR ticketed? If yes, the ticket must follow the change (revalidation or reissue) — decide with Void, refund, revalidation or reissue — which one this case needs before you rebook.
- Is there availability in the new class / on the new date?
ANfirst.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | SB Y 6 | Rebooks segment 6 in class Y. | Change class only. |
| 2 | SB 12APR 7 | Rebooks segment 7 to 12 April. | Change date only. |
| 3 | SB 15AUG | Rebooks all segments to 15 August. | Whole trip moves. |
| 4 | SB BA194*3 | Segment 3 to flight BA194. | Other flight, same day. |
| 5 | SB AA101*Y21APR4 | Segment 4: class, date and flight at once. | |
| 6 | SB 4*C5 | Segment 5 onto line 4 of the displayed availability, class C. | Pick from AN. |
| 7 | RTA | Check the new segment is HK. | The rebook is a new sell — it can fail. |
| 8 | FXP (not yet ticketed) | Re-price. | The stored fare no longer matches the flights. |
| 9 | RF + name, ER | Saves. |

Check it worked
RTA shows the new flight HK and the old one gone; SSRs and seats moved with it (check RTG).
Traps
SBchanges the booking, not the ticket. An issued ticket still shows the old flight until it is revalidated or reissued.- Seats and SSRs may not follow automatically — replicate them (Meal and other common SSRs, and copying SSRs to new segments).
- A rebook to a class with a higher fare needs re-pricing; do not issue on the old TST.
