When
Rare: a ticket must be issued for a booking that is not held in an Amadeus PNR (the flight was booked directly with the airline), and your senior agent agreed.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | TY | Enters temporary ticketing mode. | The record is temporary. |
| 2 | SSSQ872F15DECSINTPEHK1/08351305 | Long sell with full flight details and status. | Describe the booked flight. |
| 3 | SS1C1/HK · SOIBC13JANBCNMAD/SA | Short sell with status · open segment with status. | |
| 4 | names, pricing, ticketing elements | As for any ticket. | |
| 5 | TTP/IG | Issues and leaves temporary mode. | Nothing remains as a PNR. |
| 6 | IG | Leaves temporary mode without issuing. | Abort. |
Traps
- The seats must really exist with the airline under those details; temporary mode books nothing.
- Without a PNR, nothing links the ticket to a booking — record the 13-digit ticket number in your agency's own system by hand.
