How do I copy (clone) a PNR in Galileo?

Retrieve the file, add R., then REALL copies the travellers' data, RESALL the flights, REALLSALL both. After copying flights, check with *VL that the new file has its own airline locator before changing anything.

When

Use this card to start a new Galileo booking file from an existing one: the same travellers on a new trip, or the same flights for other travellers, without typing everything again.

Check first

  • What you want to copy: the people (names, contacts, passport data, loyalty cards, meals), the flights, or both.
  • Copying flights sells them again for the new file — make sure there are seats and that you really want a second booking.

Steps

3fREP.N.SI.NP.7-11Copies chosen fields: phones, names, service information, notepad items 7 to 11.Pick exactly what you need.
4complete and checkAdd or change what differs (names, dates, flights). The copy is a new booking, not a link to the old one.
5EREnds the new file.It gets its own record locator.
6*VLShows the airline locators of the new file.Must differ from the original before you change anything.

Check it worked

The new file has its own record locator, the copied data, and — when flights were copied — its own airline locator in *VL.

Traps

  • Same flights, same airline locator? After an identical copy, check that the airline gave the new file a different locator before you modify or cancel anything. Otherwise a cancel could reach the wrong travellers.
  • Wrong entry, big effect. REALLSALL copies everything, also SSRs that may not fit the new travellers (an infant's data, a wheelchair). Prefer the narrow entries.
  • Passport data copied for other people is wrong data. When copying flights for new travellers, use RESALL, not REALLSALL.
  • For travellers who leave an existing booking, dividing is the right tool, not repeating (Divide a booking file (take travellers out)).
