What do e-ticket coupon statuses mean in Galileo?

OPEN coupons can be voided, refunded or exchanged; ARPT means airport control; UNVL can only be exchanged; CKIN, LFTD, USED, EXCH, RFND, VOID, SUSP and CLSD allow none of them. Read them with *HTE.

Steps

#EntryWhat it doesWhy
1*HTEShows the e-ticket with each coupon's status.Decide what is still possible.
2*TEHShows how the statuses changed over time.Find out what changed them.

Check it worked

For every coupon you can say whether it may still be exchanged, refunded or voided; *TEH explains any status you did not expect.

Traps

  • A void cancels the whole sale, so every coupon must still be unused — and on BSP it works only on the day of issue (Void (cancel) an e-ticket issued today). Otherwise it is a refund or an exchange.
  • UNVL can only be exchanged — not refunded or voided.
  • Checked in by mistake? British Airways has an automated customer offload process that can put a CKIN coupon back to OPEN or ARPT. For other airlines, contact the airline.
  • A ticket with the first coupon USED and the rest OPEN can still be refunded or exchanged for the unused part (Partial refund — part of the trip flown, the rest unused).
