When
Use this card when a booking file is open and you want to see one part of it — only the flights, only the SSRs, only the remarks — instead of the whole file, or to print a part.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it shows | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | *R | The booking file as usual. | The everyday view. |
| 2 | *ALL | Everything, hidden fields included. | Before a big change, or when something is missing from *R. |
| 3 | *I · *IA · *IN | Whole itinerary · air segments · non-air segments. | Check flights and status codes. |
| 4 | *N | Names with passenger numbers. | Before any entry that uses P1, P2. |
| 5 | *P · *EM | Phone items · email addresses. | Contact check. |
| 6 | *TD · *RV | Ticketing field · received field. | Mandatory fields before ending. |
| 7 | *SI · *SR · *SO | All service information · SSRs only · OSIs only. | See statuses of meals, wheelchairs, DOCS. |
| 8 | *NP · *RI | Notepad · itinerary remarks. | Internal notes · what the client will read. |
| 9 | *MM | Frequent flyer numbers. | Check the card is in before ticketing. |
| 10 | *VR · *VL | Vendor remarks in and out · airline locators. | Airline replies and the airline's own booking reference. |
| 11 | *SD | Seat data. | Seats and their statuses. |
| 12 | *FF | Filed fares. | The stored fares the tickets will use (Display the filed fares in a booking file). |
| 13 | *DV | Booking files divided from this one. | Find the other half after a divide. |
Combine displays with a full stop: *N.I shows names and itinerary, *N.SI.VR names, service information and vendor remarks. A + adds history to the same screen: *N.I+*HIA (see Read the booking file history).
Print any display by putting P- in front: P-*R prints the open file, P-*ALL with hidden fields, P-*I only the itinerary (Print a booking file, its history or any response).
Check it worked
The screen shows only the part you asked for; the item numbers there are the ones to use in change and delete entries.
Traps
*Rdoes not show everything. Some fields only appear in*ALLor in their own display. When a colleague says "it's in the booking", check*ALL.- Item numbers are per field. Take them from the field's own display just before a change, not from memory.
*P1shows the first two phone items, not item 1 alone.- A display shows the current state only. What was there before is in the history (
*H).
