How do I retrieve a PNR in Galileo?

Use *K7P2QX for the record locator, *-NOVAK for a surname (pick a line with *3), *15NOV-NOVAK for date and name, or **7XQ1-NOVAK to search a branch office. Past date files need PQ/.

Check it worked

The file opens with the record locator at the top and the names you expected. Check the travel dates before changing anything: a common name can have several files.

Traps

  • Pick from the list by line number, then check. Two clients with the same surname and travel month are common; confirm the first name and dates on screen.
  • The date shown in the name list: the travel date of flown segments; if the flights were cancelled but a retention line remains, the retention date; if every segment was cancelled, the date of the first segment.
  • 24 hours after its last travel date a file becomes past date and is no longer found this way. Use past date retrieval (Retrieve a past date booking file (PQ)).
  • A booking the airline made itself is not in your Galileo list. Retrieve and claim it (Claim an airline booking, or ticket it through booking file lend).
  • No match at all? See The airline has no record of the booking (NoRec checks) before creating a duplicate booking.
