What must be in a Galileo booking before TKP?

Names as in passports, confirmed flights, phone, ticketing and received fields, a valid filed fare (*FF), payment (*FOP), plating carrier, commission (TPC1), FOID or APIS where needed and a linked printer (HMLD). Validate with TKPVB.

When

Use this card right before TKP, every time. A ticket issued today can still be voided today; a mistake found tomorrow turns into a refund or an exchange.

Check first

  • The booking file is on screen and saved, and the client has accepted price and conditions.

The checklist

#CheckHowWhy
1Names exactly as in the passports; children and infants with age or date of birth*NAirlines have their own rules for name changes.
2Every flight confirmed (HK), right dates and classes*IANever ticket a waitlisted or unconfirmed seat.
3Phone, ticketing and received fields present; booking saved*RThe mandatory fields of every booking file.
4A filed fare for every passenger, code not I or X*FF, *FF1TKP issues what is filed.
5Fare and conditions are what the client acceptedRead fare rules (fare notes) — from a fare display or a quoteAgree the rules before the client pays.
6Plating carrier set, and it may ticket every airline on the ticket*FF1, Can this airline ticket the others? Interline and BSP tablesIts stock and rules apply to the whole ticket.
7Form of payment in the booking or on the filed fare*FOP, *FF1Decides who pays and how.
8Commission as your contract saysTPC1The ticket carries it.
9Endorsements and tour code where the fare needs them*FF1Contract and tour fares.
10Passport data (APIS) and FOID where the airline or route needs them*SISome airlines refuse to issue without them.
11Ticketing deadline not passed*TD, Ticketing time limits — the airline's, the fare's and yoursThe fare and the airline both set deadlines.
12A ticket printer linked to your terminalHMLDOtherwise TKP stops with NO LINKAGE.

Steps

#EntryWhat it doesWhy
1TKPVBValidates the booking before issue.Finds gaps without issuing anything.
2TKP (or TKP1 for one filed fare)Issues the tickets.See Issue e-tickets with TKP.

Check it worked

TKPVB raises nothing, and after TKP the ticket numbers appear with *HTI.

Traps

  • TKP without a filed fare still tickets — at whatever is cheapest at that moment. Never skip row 4.
  • Plain TKP issues every filed fare. If one is not ready, give its number.
  • Practise issuing in the training system, never in the live office (Practise safely before you work on real bookings).
