When
You learned Amadeus on the graphic screen and a card speaks of "the PNR", or the reverse.
What it is
A booking file in Selling Platform Connect is the Passenger Name Record (PNR) of cryptic mode. Each piece of information is an element (a name, a flight, a phone number, a remark); a booking holds up to 999 elements. It stays active until four days after the last segment, then it is archived and can be retrieved for three years.
The graphic booking file groups elements into sections — Products (flights and their prices), Passenger and contact details, SSRs and services, Stored fares (TST & TSM), E-Ticket and EMD, Form of payment, Remarks, Fare elements, Documents, Option queues — and each section has its own buttons.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | RT + record locator | Retrieves the PNR (graphic: Retrieve, name or locator). | Open the booking. |
| 2 | work the elements | Add, change, delete. | Nothing is saved yet. |
| 3 | ER (graphic: Save (ER)) | Ends the transaction, saves and redisplays. | Only now is the change real. |
| 4 | IG (new record) · IR (existing) (graphic: Ignore) | Discards a new record · undoes changes since the last save. | Back out safely. |
Check it worked
After ER the PNR shows a record locator (six characters) at the top; after IR your unsaved
changes are gone.
Traps
- Up to six booking files can be open at once in graphic mode — make sure you save the right one.
- Ignore on a new record deletes it completely (it was never saved).
- The graphic Save drop-down also offers "Save & change status (ERK)" and "Save & send IMR"; plain Save (ER) is the normal choice.
