When
Your office organises work in its own queues — one per task or per agent — and you are the one who sets them up, names them or cleans them out.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | QA91C1 | Adds queue 91 with category 1. | A queue for a new task. |
| 2 | QAC87C2-2 · QAC87C1-3 | Adds category 2 · categories 1 to 3 to queue 87. | Split a queue by topic. |
| 3 | QAQ87VISAS · QAQ87 | Names queue 87 VISAS · removes the name. | Agents see what it is for. |
| 4 | QLAANA/30C1 | Nickname ANA for queue 30, category 1. | QS.ANA, QE.ANA instead of numbers. |
| 5 | QLD · QLXANA | Lists the nicknames · deletes ANA. | Keep the list tidy. |
| 6 | QK2 · QKC87C4-4 | Deletes queue 2 · category 4 of queue 87. | Remove what nobody uses. |
| 7 | QVU/Q12/DISP · QVU/Q12/OFF | Shows · turns off the automatic clearing of queue 8 into queue 12. | Control where old items go. |
A category per agent ("queue sortation"), in this order: JGU/QCT-21 on the agent's sign, then QAC6C21-21,
then (optional) a name with QAR6C21NAME.
Check it worked
QT shows the new queue with its categories; QC.ANA counts the queue behind a nickname.
Traps
- Deleting needs the SU duty code and works only on empty queues and categories; categories 0 and 97 cannot be deleted.
- Tell the team before renumbering: options (
OP) and colleagues' habits still point to the old numbers.
