When
The client moves to another flight or date at the same fare, and the airline's rules allow the change free of charge — the existing ticket is updated instead of reissued.
Check first
Revalidation is possible only if the e-ticket is linked to the PNR, has at least one future segment,
the coupon status is O or A, the fare stays the same, and the change is one of: flight
number, date or time · airport in the same city · airline in the same group (if allowed). It is
airline-specific.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | TWD | Ticket and coupon numbers. | Know which coupon changes. |
| 2 | SB… (or cancel + sell) | Rebooks the flight in the same class. | Same fare needs the same class. |
| 3 | TTP/ETRV/L10/S3/E2 | Revalidates ticket line 10: PNR segment 3 goes on coupon 2. | Points the coupon to the new flight. |
| 4 | TTP/ETRV/L9/S2-5/E1-4 | Several segments and coupons. | |
| 5 | TWD | Shows the coupon with the new flight. | Check. |

Check it worked
TWD shows the same ticket number with the new flight/date on the coupon, status still O.
Traps
- If the class or fare changes, it is not a revalidation — reissue (Voluntary change and reissue with Amadeus Ticket Changer (FXQ, TTP)).
- If the airline refuses the revalidation, reissue.
