When
You have the availability on screen and the client chose a flight and class.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | AN20OCTLJUFRA | Shows availability. | The line numbers you sell from. |
| 2 | SS1Y2 | Sells 1 seat in class Y on line 2. | Seats × class × line. |
| 3 | SS2CB1 | 2 seats on line 1: first flight C, the connection B. | Different classes on a connection. |
| 4 | SS1Y2*11 | From a round-trip display: line 2 out and line 11 back, class Y. | Both directions at once. |
| 5 | SS3L2/P1,4-6 | Sells for passengers 1 and 4-6 only (names already in the PNR). | Part of the party. |
| 6 | RTA | Shows the sold segments. | Check the class, times and the status the airline returned. |
Check it worked
The PNR shows the segment(s) with the class and the number of seats; after ER, status HK.
Traps
- Seats = adults + children. A lap infant takes no seat.
- On a connection, sell both flights in one entry — selling legs separately can break married segments and the connection's availability (see Married segments — why you cannot change one leg alone).
- If the answer is "NOT AVAILABLE BUT WAITLIST OPEN", the class is full — sell another class or waitlist on purpose (Waitlisting a full class, and what happens next).
- Selling holds a real seat once you end the PNR; only
IGreleases it before.
