When
A ticket issued today must disappear. The client cancelled, or the ticket is wrong (name, date, fare, passenger type). A void cancels the sale as if it never happened: the airline gets nothing, and the weekly BSP statement prints the ticket at 0.00.
Check first
- Is it still the day of issue? The usual rule is before midnight on the day it was issued; some markets differ, so check yours. From the next day it is a refund, not a void (see Void, refund, revalidation or reissue — which one this case needs).
- Are the coupons still open (
O) inTWD? A coupon that is checked in, flown or exchanged cannot be voided. - How many documents? There is one e-ticket per passenger. A paid seat or bag has its own EMD. Each one is voided on its own.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | RT + locator | Retrieves the PNR. | The void works from the ticket lines (FA) in the PNR. |
| 2 | TWD (or TWD/L6, the FA on line 6) | Shows the e-ticket record. | Check the number, that every coupon is O, and that the issue date is today. |
| 3 | TRDC (the PNR has one FA line) · TRDC/L6 (FA on line 6) · TRDC/TK- + 13 digits (by number) | Cancels the sale of that document. | This is the void itself. It covers one document; repeat it per passenger. |
| 4 | TWD | Shows the record again. | The coupons must now read V (void). |
| 5a | Client not travelling: XE + segments, RF + name, ER | Cancels the flights and saves. | A void cancels the ticket, not the booking. Seats left booked turn into no-shows. |
| 5b | Wrong ticket, re-issuing: keep the segments, fix the error, re-price (FXP), issue (TTP) | Replaces the ticket. | See Issuing e-tickets (TTP). |
In the graphic booking file: E-Ticket and EMD section → select the ticket → Void E-ticket/EMD → Void. Leave "Void directly on airline stock" unticked when your agency issues on BSP stock.

Traps
- A void cannot be undone. Reinstating (
TRDR) is not available for e-tickets and EMDs. To travel after all, book and issue a new ticket. - Several passengers means several voids. From the sales report,
TRDC/1,3orTRDC/1-3cancels several items. Keep it to 4 electronic documents per entry, to avoid timeouts. - Attached EMDs (seat, bag) are voided separately (see Voiding an EMD). Otherwise they stay billed.
- After midnight
TRDCis the wrong tool. Refund instead (Full automated refund (TRF)); BSP bills the ticket and credits the refund in the refund's week. TRDC/…/SR(cancel without updating the coupon status) is market-specific. Do not use it without asking your senior agent.
