When
Use this card to leave notes for colleagues inside a Galileo booking file — what the client asked, what you promised, what still has to be done — that the client never sees.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | NP.CLIENT WANTS AISLE SEATS ONLY | A plain note. | Everyday internal remark. |
| 2 | NP.H**QUOTED 412 EUR ON 12OCT BY PHONE | A historical note. | If it is later changed or deleted, the old text stays in the history. |
| 3 | NP.C**DISCOUNT AGREED BY MANAGER | A confidential note. | Only your office (the owner of the file) can read it. |
| 4 | NP.**PAYS BY BANK TRANSFER | A note that is always shown on the first notepad line. | The one thing everyone must see. |
| 5 | NP.D*SENT VISA FORMS | A note with a letter of your choice (here D). | Group notes by topic; *NPD shows only those. |
| 6 | NP.2@NEW TEXT · NP./2TEXT · NP.2@ | Changes item 2 · inserts after item 2 · deletes item 2. | Keep notes current. |
| 7 | *NP | Shows the notepad. | *NPH* historical only, *NPC* confidential only. |
| 8 | PS.CALL CLIENT BEFORE TICKETING | A postscript: one line shown at the top of the booking file. | A warning nobody can miss. Up to 64 characters. |
| 9 | PS.@NEW TEXT · PS.@ | Replaces · removes the postscript. | It is a single item. |

*NP lists the items with the agent's sign, date and time stamped on each; the postscript appears on top when you display the file.
Traps
- A plain note deleted is gone for good. Plain and confidential notes leave no trace in the history. Use
NP.H**for anything you may need to prove later;*HNPshows those. - Historical notes are written to the history only when changed or deleted, not when added.
- A confidential note can only be added by the owner office. Another office sees just
CONFIDENTIAL, and getsRESTRICTEDif it tries to add one. - The characters
^,+,;and@cannot be typed in a note (+joins entries,@deletes). Many other special characters show as?. - Up to 87 characters per item, 999 items.
- Card numbers: only in the special card note (
NP.F**+ card details), which hides the number after the file is saved. The card type, last four digits, expiry date and your text stay readable. Never put a card number in a plain note.
