How do I add an OSI in Galileo?

SI.LH*VIP NOVAK/AMRS CEO EXAMPLE CORP informs LH; SI.YY* informs every airline in the booking file. A request the airline must confirm belongs in an SSR. Display with *SO; delete with SI.2@.

When

Use this card to tell an airline something useful about the travellers that needs no confirmation: a VIP, a party split over two bookings, a ticket number — or an extra line the airline asked you to add for a special fare.

*SO lists each OSI with the airline code and text.

Traps

  • Some OSIs must be in before the first save. For certain private fares the airline wants an OSI in the new booking to extend the last ticketing date, and ticketing delay codes only count if they are there before the first end transact. The airline tells you the exact text (Private, net and account-code fares in a quote).
  • An OSI asks for nothing. If you need the airline to do something, use an SSR or a vendor remark (Vendor remarks — messages to and from the airline).
  • Child ages: airlines prefer the CHLD SSR with the date of birth over an OSI (Names for adults, children and infants).
  • Travellers in separate bookings who want to sit together: AF asks for an OSI with the code LKRL and the airline locators of the bookings. Check the airline's own instructions for the exact form.
  • Your first agency phone number is sent to the airline as an OSI automatically when you end — you do not have to add it.
