When
The booking file is yours, but the ticket was issued by someone else: a consolidator, the airline, another agency. The airline wants the ticket number in the booking, and your itinerary or invoice should show it.
Check first
- The full ticket number from the issuer: airline code plus serial, for example
081-1234500012. - Which airline flies the segments: the message goes to that airline's code.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | SI.JU*TKNM0811234500012 | Sends airline JU the ticket number as an OSI. | The airline links the ticket to its seats. |
| 2 | *SO | Shows the OSIs. | Check the number before saving. |
| 3 | DI.TK-1234500012 | Puts the ticket number on the itinerary and invoice. | Your documents and back office show the ticket. |
| 4 | *DI | Shows the document itinerary remarks. | Check the line is there. |
| 5 | R.P + ER | Records who asked and saves. | Nothing is sent until the file is ended. |
If the consolidator issues for you: QEB/LJU/35/Y places the booking file on queue 35 of the consolidator agency in queuing city LJU and lets it take over ownership to ticket. Your agency table (the CONS field of AAT) shows the queuing city.
Check it worked
*SO lists the TKNM line for the airline; *DI lists the TK- line; after ER both are in the saved file.
Traps
- You cannot reprint documents a third party issued, such as a consolidator:
TSDis for your own tickets, while the ticket record can still be displayed. - A typo in the number goes to the airline as typed: compare it with the issuer's copy before ending.
- For a void, refund or exchange of that ticket, go to whoever issued it: the consolidator, the airline or the other agency.
