How do I add an SSR in Galileo?

SI.P1/VGML orders a vegan meal for passenger 1; SI.P2S3/WCHR a wheelchair on segment 3. Find codes with H/MEAL and H/ASSC, check status with *SR, and accept airline answers with @ALL.

When

Use this card to ask the airline for a service with an IATA code — special meal, wheelchair, bassinet, sports equipment — and to follow its answer, update or cancel it in a Galileo booking file.

Check first

  • Find the code: H/MEAL (meals) and H/ASSC (other services). Codes marked + must have a text after *, codes marked * must not have one.
  • Which passengers and which flights: without P and S numbers the request goes for every passenger on every air segment.

Steps

#EntryWhat it doesWhy
1SI.P1/VGMLVegan meal for passenger 1 on all flights.SI.VGML would order it for everyone.
2SI.P2S3/WCHRWheelchair for passenger 2 on segment 3 only.Services are often needed on one leg only.
3SI.P1S2.3/SPEQ*SKI BAG 15KG 180X30X20Sports equipment for passenger 1 on segments 2 and 3, with the mandatory text. The airline needs the details to accept it. Up to 180 characters.
4ER then *SRSaves, then shows the SSRs with their status. The airline answers with a status code per request.
5@ALLUpdates statuses: KK, KL, TK become HK; UU, UL become HL; NO and UN are removed.Accept the airline's answers. Repeat until Galileo says there is nothing left to update. It updates flight statuses too.
6SI.INFT@HKSets the infant SSR to HK.@ALL does not touch the infant SSR.
7SI.P1S2@ · SI.P2S1/WCHR@Cancels all SSRs of passenger 1 on segment 2 · one wheelchair request.A cancel message goes to the airline.
8*SIR then SIR VGMLAfter changing flights, lists services to put back · reinstates the meal.Services do not always move with the new flight by themselves.

In Smartpoint: special services script → Special Service Request.

Check it worked

*SR shows each request with passenger, segment and status. HK means the airline confirmed; NO, UN or UC means it did not.

Traps

  • SI.ALL@ and SI.S2@ also remove paid ancillary services booked in the file, not only the free requests. Cancel precisely.
  • @XK at the end (SI.P2S1/AVIH@XK) removes the item without telling the airline. Use it only for requests the airline already dropped.
  • An SSR can only be changed in its status or text (SI.P1S4/WCHR@HK, SI.P1/SPML@*NO EGGS); for anything else cancel it and add it again.
  • Services for a lap infant are added to the accompanying adult.
  • Codes without a programmatic form (passport data, contacts, emergency contact) are manual SSRs — see Manual SSRs — contacts, emergency contact, long loyalty numbers.
