When
Use this card to send passport data to the airlines (APIS, and US Secure Flight), and visa, known traveller or address data when a country requires them.
Check first
- The passport in your hand: document number, issuing country, nationality, date of birth, gender, expiry, names exactly as printed.
- The name in the DOCS must match the passport and the name field.
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | SI.P1/SSRDOCSYYHK1/P/SI/PX1234567/SI/12JUL80/F/23OCT30/NOVAK/ANA | Full passport data for traveller 1, to all airlines. | Order: document type / issuing country / number / nationality / birth date / gender / expiry / surname / first name (/ middle name). |
| 2 | SI.P2/SSRDOCSYYHK1/////03MAR75/M//KOVAC/MARKO | Minimum US Secure Flight data: birth date, gender, names. | Empty positions keep their slashes. |
| 3 | SI.P1/SSRDOCSYYHK1/P/SI/PX7654321/SI/12MAR26/FI/01APR31/NOVAK/EVA | A lap infant's passport, entered on the adult (FI = female infant). | Infant data goes on the accompanying adult. |
| 4 | SI.P1/SSRDOCOYYHK1//K/9876543///US | Known traveller number for the US. | DOCO also carries visa and redress data. |
| 5 | SI.P1/SSRDOCAYYHK1/D/US/100 MAIN STREET/NEW YORK/NY/10001 | Destination address in the US (D); R would be the home address. | Needed for travel to the US. |
| 6 | *SI | Shows the DOCS, DOCO and DOCA lines. | Check every position. |
In Smartpoint, #APIS (or the customer information script → Security) opens a form that builds these SSRs for you.
Document codes: P passport, IP passport card, I/A/C identity cards, F other approved document. Gender: M, F, X unspecified, U undisclosed; add I for an infant (MI, FI, XI, UI).
Check it worked
*SI shows the DOCS line per traveller with your data in the right positions, and the airline code or YY.
Traps
- A wrong DOCS cannot be edited — cancel it (
SI.3@) and enter it again (Manual SSRs — contacts, emergency contact, long loyalty numbers). - Count the slashes. A missing one moves every following field into the wrong position.
YYsends to all airlines in the file; a carrier code sends to one.- The DOCS is data for the airline, not a check of entry rules. Visas and passport validity: Visa, passport and health rules (TIMATIC).
- Galileo also has a passport and visa field for your own records,
PI.(for examplePI.P1/P/SI/PX1234567/23OCT30*SEEN BY AGENT, shown with*PI). It stores the data in the booking file; the airline gets passport data through the DOCS. It is masked after the first save, and a name change deletes it.
