- The segment number, with a full stop. Names have their own numbers in Galileo.

- The airline code and the flight number: LH is Lufthansa, flight 401.
- Y
- The booking class. One letter, and the airline decides what each letter means.
- 10DEC
- The day and month of departure. There is no year.
- JFKFRA
- Where from and where to: two 3-letter airport or city codes, here New York JFK and Frankfurt.
- HK2
- The status and the number of seats: HK is confirmed, for 2 passengers.
- 1755
- Departure, in the local time of the airport. An office in the US sees 12-hour times: 555P.
- #
- The flight lands the next day. * means two days later, - the day before (a flight west over the date line).
- 0730
- Arrival, in the local time of the airport.
- O*
- Marks Galileo adds for the agent. The converter does not need them.
- E
- The flight can be issued as an e-ticket.
- TH
- The day of the week of departure: TH is Thursday.
