When
The client wants an extra bag, a paid seat, a meal or sports equipment that the airline sells as a separate service (paid on an EMD).
Steps
| # | Entry | What it does | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | FXK | Catalogue of chargeable services for all passengers and the whole trip. | What the airline sells, with prices. |
| 2 | FXK/P3 · FXK/S3 | For passenger 3 · segment 3. | Narrow it. |
| 3 | FXK/G-BG · FXK/STD-BAG1 | Only baggage services · only the first chargeable bag. | Bags are the usual request. |
| 4 | FWK | Books and prices services from the catalogue. | One step from catalogue to booking. |
| 5 | FXH | Informative pricing of the booked services (no TSM). | Quote the client. |
| 6 | FXG | Confirmed pricing — creates the TSM-P (stored price for the EMD). | Needed before issuing the EMD. |
| 7 | FXG/P3 · FXG/C-SIT | For passenger 3 · for a chargeable seat. | Price one service. |
Then issue the EMD with TTM (see Issuing an EMD (TTM)).
Check it worked
FXG confirms a TSM; TQT-style display of the TSM is in Displaying, deleting and viewing the history of a TSM (TQM, TMX, TMH).
Traps
- A service is guaranteed only when paid — booking the SSR alone is a request.
- Prices depend on route, fare family and date; the catalogue is today's price.
- Some fare families already include a bag or a seat — check before selling one (Fare families — display, price on a family, compare).
