How to read an Amadeus PNR
A flight line of the display, part by part. The converter reads every flight line this way.

- The line number of the element in the booking. Names and flights share one numbering.
- LH1475
- The airline code and the flight number: LH is Lufthansa, flight 1475.
- Y
- The booking class. One letter, and the airline decides what each letter means.
- 03DEC
- The day and month of departure. There is no year.
- 4
- The day of the week, from 1 (Monday) to 7 (Sunday). 4 is a Thursday.
- LJUFRA
- Where from and where to: two 3-letter airport or city codes, here Ljubljana and Frankfurt.
- HK2
- The status and the number of seats: HK is confirmed, for 2 passengers.
- 0610 0745
- Departure and arrival, each in the local time of its airport.
- 03DEC
- The arrival date, shown when the display carries it. A later date means the flight lands the next day or later.
- E
- The flight can be issued as an e-ticket.
- LH/SMPL01
- The airline's own booking reference, which the client can use on the airline's website.
